Post 26: Bern

I had a wonderful sleep, and woke up with plenty of time to work on art work, make breakfast and relax. I left at about 9:45, and it was a beautifully blue sky, so I went to the water, before catching the train to get a photo of the mountains and the lake with the clear water.

I caught the 10:27 train to Lausanne and got into Bern around noon. I stopped by the Starbucks and used the WiFi from the outside. Found out how to get to the statue I was looking for. It was the baby-eater. Lol.

It was a pretty cool area. Very cobblestoned area and high class shopping. If you went down the street further, it was not as classy shopping, but a shit ton of tourists. Turns out hey have a bear in an area under a bridge. I don’t think it is a very big enclosure, but it could extend behind the other side of the bridge, I am not sure.

I also went up towards a more residential area. It reminded me of Oakville, Ontario a little bit. The place was definitely more German than French. It seemed like a nat in-between from Lucerne and Zürich.

I roamed around a bit more, found there was a bear they keep in a large enclosure by this river thing. I felt bad for it. On the way back to the station, I walked the cobblestone street lined with stores. It was a little bizarre, as some stores were closed, and it was like a Monday. Then you also had stores that were like Armani, right next to something like a Dollar Store (exaggeration).

The train ride was packed with kids trying to get to the airport, I assume. They ended up getting off at the same place as myself. So many bags, so many loud kids.

I came back to my Airbnb, and just am relaxing and doing some artwork while watching some French tv. I was watching Percy and the something or other.....it was the first movie of the series. But e tv is one of those REALLY smooth tv’s that everything looks super clear and very odd. So the 3D graphics looked like the old Godzilla type animation. Very weird.

Tomorrow, I do hope to the queen studio experience and a scenic tour. I should do some research....
