Post 52: Tues. 6/4 - Edo Mura

Had a pretty nice breakfast. I was full-on sick at this point, but I was excited for the day.

I don’t know what it is about Japanese eggs, but the yolks are such a pretty orange color.

Here, we were waiting for the bus to take us and a couple of people to Edo Mura.

Edo Mura was pretty cool. Edo Mura is basically “Edo Village”. It tries to replicate what it was like in the Edo Period. There are a lot of buildings, foods, and shows to see. The shows are like 15-20 min and are pretty neat. It’s a really pretty place. My family and I did the Sword lessons. I felt stupid at first, but the two guys that were training us were super calm and never made fun of us. I had an older gentleman, who was super sweet.

Ninjas were a big theme. They had a ninja show (which was neat), ninja maze, and a ninja trick house as seen below. It was a complete mind fuck.

Ok, this may not seem like anything, but these are take, (bamboo) that is growing out of the concrete. It’s GROWING THROUGH THE CONCRETE, GUYS. This shit used to be a torture method….look how strong nature is.

Super low on energy, so we went for noodles. Cold udon with dip. Yum.

We rested a bit and there were some awesome plants behind us to look at.

Can’t have old-timey Japan without the Koi crawling all over each other.

This is a torture house for all the tools they use in Hell. I made my family go in because I am not good with horror houses. Needless to say….I never stepped in.

Creepy masks. For good measure.

Walked back to the station. Super pretty views.

I remember walking down this way about 10 years ago…so it was neat seeing it again.

Still walking.

This poor car.

I’m so lonely.

I’m so lonely.

Took a bath hoping to feel better.

Sooooo steak flavored chips.
