Post 64: Sunday 6/16 - Takadanobaba walk around and Konan Home Center
It was pretty damn hot out. And I was still coughing a lot. But I believe it is important to get some fresh air. So I went to walk around Takadanobaba, and I needed to get over to Konan Home Center to get some last items….basically a tatami roll-out mat.
This is a view from the stairwell of my apartment. Tokyo Sky Tree is off in the distance. What a beautiful day. Hot as ball-sacks, but beautiful.
There is something really cool about not just the structures of the buildings, but the colors. The sky was such a deep blue that the building colors really popped.
So, I saw this on the way back from Tully’s coffee to drop my shit off at my apartment before my Dr. Stretch session. I vowed to come back and get a picture before heading to Oji for the Konan Home Center.
Cute little flowers as I walked past.
I swear to god, they keep adding new signs up there. It was just Konan…then Joshin….then all this other stuff. I hardly ever went upstairs except one time…but when family came to visit, I went up each time I went back. They even had an OK supermarket….it’s not that the market was o.k….it was actually called “OK”.
I think I was still pretty sick and coughing like crazy, so the heat and the exercise really wiped me out.
Lovely evening from the apartment. I will say, I think this evening the colors were more reds and purples, but the camera does not pick those up well.
I was also pretty frustrated, because I have felt that I could not really get back into my art, because there was too much going on and I shit everywhere in my apartment. I was really frustrated that I could not get onto a schedule and do some personal work. My head was wrapped around the move.
