Post 15: Kawagoe
I talked to my mom in the morning and got just some work around the house done. I decided that I would head over to Kawagoe. So I went at around 11 or 12p. Also, I got a Starbucks Latte, and found this:
I will always want Chocolate Source. I believe I am getting Chocolate Source next week in Switzerland. Lol.
Kawagoe Station
Hachimangu Shrine
I ended up opening up TripAdvisor and found this Shrine close by. I have more images below in the first of two galleries.
Here is an….uh…activity? Where you pay ¥200 and grab a ceramic peach. You hold it close and tell the evil spirits they are a piece of shit, and you yell something to the effect of, “fuck off demons!” and toss it at a rock in the middle to break it. I won.
Gerrrofff may back!
Then I went and headed to another place. I think this was a temple. Kitain.
I have most the pictures in the gallery 1 below. I then went to a shopping street that had a load of cool buildings and shops (Gallery 2 below).
Then on my way home, I went back through he shopping area, and up this side street. I passed this street going to the shopping street, because they were filming a TV show or something. On my way home, they were starting to prepare the decorations for Golden Week. These are the Koi flags for Children’s day: Kodomo no hi.
Also, in Gallery 1, take a look at the Flower that is as big as my hand. Frigging insane!
