Post 28: Vevey

It is my last full day in Switzerland, and I head home tomorrow. I decided to walk along the lake as much as I could to Vevey. There were sections where I could not walk along the water, as there was just no way to get down there. It was a REALLY nice day for a walk!

This was probably my favorite thing to see other than the Child-Eater statue in Bern.

From here, I had to walk along the street, but there were some cool buildings. Like the second one below of a shop that had creative gadgets and inventions.

I ran into a snail on the side of a wall.

By the time I got to Vevey, I had to pee so bad. I found that Vevey is a decently large area, loads of shopping. I ended up getting a Vienna coffee with an ass-load of cream topping. The cream is bland, which was fine, but there was only a TINY amount of coffee that was in the cup. Lady was rude too.

The shopping center was cool. The supermarkets have a huge veggie selection and cured meats. That is a big thing here. They had rabbit too!

I passed Nestle buildings getting the Vevey, and found the main building. Just after this building, I turned left to get to the water. It turned out it was around lunchtime, and the Nestle building has their eating area outside and inside facing the mountains. How cool is that!?

A lot of people would eat on the wall between the sidewalk and the rocks. In some areas they even had seats welded to some of the giant rocks to sit among them!

There were some cool statues and flowers…but not as extensive as Montreux.

All in all, even though I did not go into the Gaming Museum (too many kids), I had a really nice time walking around. No regrets whatsoever! Tomorrow I head back and will hang out in Lausanne for a bit before I go to the airport.
