Post 39: Rainy Day and Shinjuku Night

Oh boy!

Yesterday, I went to my favorite cafe. I love that place. I needed to do a little filming, so I went and recorded some videos and did some work. I had to use the restroom, so I went in, it’s a one-person-at-a-time toilet. If flushes on its own and cleans itself with some sort of foam. So, you can’t tell if there are skid marks from another person. I use the restroom (I had to poop), just as normal…..this thing plugs up. I swear to god….this is not normal. As it was “thinking” about the possibility of flushing, I did notice a lot of toilet paper after the suds cleared away. A lot of toilet paper that I did not use……

Luckily it did not overflow….but it was a close call. I tried looking around for a plunger or at least a brush or something…NOPE! it’s all locked up. :( So, I did the “right” thing and let the staff know.

I should probably not go back there for at least a little while.

ANYWHOOOOOOO…..I went back home and it was RAINY and super WINDY. It was supposed to be like this most of the day. So I decided to stay in and do some inventory for the move. I am separating out items that:

  1. I will have Aki take back with him

  2. I will take back with me on the plane

  3. Send via Plane

  4. Send via Boat

  5. Donate to Salvation Army

  6. Sell

  7. Send to a friend

  8. Throw Away

I have gotten the bedroom, living room, bathroom, and work desk complete. I just have the Kitchen, Dining area, genkan, clothing, and closet to do. :) I also binged the last season of Game of Thrones since it was finally able to be purchased as an individual season. I still have the finale to watch.

I then went over to Shinjuku to meet up with a friend I have not seen in a long time. Super happy!

I arrived a little early and went into Tokyu Hands to just look around as I wait for the time to meet up. I ended up in the bedroom section and found this gradual wake alarm clock. I have a small one now, but this one is larger and it helps you get to bed too. I am SO excited to try and use it!!!!! OMG!

We met up at this place called Rosemary’s. Expensive, but REALLY good food and a beautiful view.

This is between the Takashimaya and NEWoman building.

We ordered a bunch of food and chatted for a couple hours. They had thin-sliced octopus with garlic and olive oil…..oh man, it was tasty. The focaccia bread with salt, olive oil, and rosemary, was to die for. We also ordered roasted potatoes that was really good, and a sausage pasta. Oh man….and then the dessert of olive oil cake. SO GOOD.

I drank a lot of water. So I decided to walk home from there to work off the food….also, I barely went out since it was raining so much. Crowds suck, but Shinjuku night time is pretty awesome to look at.

I woke up at about 3:50am, to ride my bike into Shinjuku like I wanted to. The sun was already coming up. I rode in and recorded it to hopefully put in a Youtube video soon. This is a Park shrine that I passed by, but looked so cool in person. The picture does not really do it justice.

This is the sun rising up by where I live.

I then went for a mile run just back and forth down my street…..and now here we are….writing this blog….
