Day 16: Quitting, why it is ok

Basically setting up a quitting time for yourself. This is not quitting a project as a whole, this has to do with your daily planning of work. If you do not set a quitting time, if you are a workaholic, you will work all hours of the day and night and likely burn yourself out. If you you aren’t you may flail around with things to do. So, set a start and and end time.

Parkinson’s Law: Any project you have will expand to the amount of time you give it.

Give yourself a non-negotiable end. Think of times when you have a plane to catch or a train to catch….or an important meeting. Those are non-negotiable. Make your work day like that.

Mark your quitting time on your daily plan.

For me, personally, I think I need to define out what is “work” and what is “study” and what is “fun”. Then I can start scheduling that out. I can start today….even though I am trying to prepare to go back to the US. That will just be what is considered “work”.
